Residents of Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES) learnt about innovative future plans for improving local health and care services at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday 20 September at Somerdale Pavilion in Keynsham.
This year our guest speaker was Cllr Keith Cunliffe, Deputy Leader of Wigan Council, who talked about how health and care providers in Wigan are working in new ways together and with local communities to improve health standards.
Attendees then heard from Ashley Ayre, Chief Executive at B&NES Council, and a panel of local health and care leaders. They discussed what the Wigan model means for B&NES, how we can encourage people to take more responsibility for their own health and update on plans to join up the delivery of health and care services so they are better coordinated around the patient.
The CCG’s annual report and accounts for 2017/18 were presented at the AGM and Tracey Cox provided a review of last year’s performance and key priorities for the next 12 months.
