The new safeguarding arrangements for partners in Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES) will come into effect from September 2019. The area covered by the arrangements is defined by B&NES Council’s boundary.
The B&NES Community Safety and Safeguarding Partnership (BCSSP) arrangements are available to download, along with the Independent Scrutiny Arrangements, and we also have a helpful ‘one-pager‘ that condenses the full arrangements into:
- An overview of the BCSSP
- The BCSSP’s commitments
- The groups and sub groups that make up the BCSSP.
The arrangements and the BCSSP have been approved by :
- Avon Fire and Rescue
- Avon and Somerset Police
- Bath and North East Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group
- B&NES Council
- The National Probation Service
The existing members of the Local Safeguarding Children Board, Local Safeguarding Adult Board and Responsible Authorities Group (community safety partnership), which the BCSSP replaces, developed the BCSSP arrangements.
