Play your part in ensuring local NHS services are fit for the future

Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is on Thursday 27 July 2017 at Somerdale Pavilion in Keynsham, and is all about what we can all do to help make our local NHS services fit for the future.

Like many areas of the UK, Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES) is facing an increased demand for all types of local health and care services. This means our budgets are being stretched more than ever before and we are facing some difficult decisions about how to reduce our spending.

We have been working hard on ways we can make cost efficiencies that do not compromise the quality of patient care, and we would like to share our plans with you and hear your views.

Our AGM is an opportunity to do this, as well as to hear from Virgin Care about their experience during the first 100 days since taking over community health services in B&NES.  You can also find out about new initiatives to help people get as fit as possible for surgery and to support patients on lifestyle changes so they can be ‘heart healthy’.

To find out more and book your place at our AGM, click here or contact Stacey Saunders via email at stacey.saunders@nhs.net or call her on 01225 831 440. The day will begin at 9.30am and end with a light lunch.

If you are unable to come to our AGM but would like to put a question to our commissioners and presenters, please contact Stacey using the details above.

You can also meet us at the  B&NES area forums where Virgin Care will be talking about their plans for community services and how residents can get involved. These forums are also open to the general public to attend and give your views:
